Tell us first of all: what exactly does it mean if you are trapping the ball? What does that mean, and then why is trapping the ball? Such an important aspect of soccer trapping the exactly where you want it to be, whether it’s right on top of you like, Tulsa Soccer Lessons on top of your foot, your thigh, your chest, you can probably even do with your head. If you have extremely good control or it could be dropping it a yard away or a few yards away, so you can run on to it, but it’s controlling the ball, stopping the ball exactly where you want it to stop, so you can get to it. The reason why it’s so important is because you pass and you receive balls all the time all the time in the game and if you can stop a ball where you needed to go. That means you’re in control of it you’re in control the situation and that’s how you keep the ball. If it’s coming to your foot and it’s bouncing off and going out of bounds or bouncing off and going to the team, you never have a chance to attack the other team. You never have a chance to control the situation. You never have a chance to possess.

The ball, because if you have the ball, the other team doesn’t have it during their soccer lessons. We focus whole Harley, aren’t on teaching kids to trap that ball properly, whether it’s with a dead spot and the dead spot is, is actually where your toes meet. Your foot and in their your shoes kind of provide a little bit of a cushion. So if you chop the ball on the top of your foot in that spot, it in the ball will die for you and you don’t have to do a whole lot of work to make happy enough to raise your leg real high. You just put your foot, there hits it it dies and you can move forward. We also work on trapping with the inside of the foot, making sure players can receive the ball of the inside drop it and pass it right away or dribble right away is really like a tional. I guess a piece of soccer trapping the ball. It’S it’s really important to be able to learn and master that skill and all the things that you’re describing him when you’re talking about the dead spot on. You know where your toes meet your feet, or I mean it being able to stop the ball and get it exactly where you need. These are things that we worked on because you’re you’re may be working on those things and soccer practice, but not when you work one-on-one with a coach. What is the difference like and I know you coach teams and then you also do private sessions with pride soccer. What is going to be your percentage that you’re getting to work on that skill? You know in a group practice as opposed to like a one-on-one soccer training session. If you need to work on trapping the ball, the difference of being practice it with a team, you may get like 50 % of time and then, with all the time or just like, maybe 35 % of them are between 35 to 50 % of the time. Probably not 50 cuz, no coaches, Tulsa Soccer Lessons just working on trapping the ball practice right now. So what you want to do to have a functional is where you have multiple things going on shopping, passing, shooting at up individual training session. You can actually slow it down and you can work a hundred percent of time on that trapping I’m never receiving it and then getting back to you receiving it again and they’re just constantly working its repetition over and over again and hasn’t worked on this skill. You know trapping that ball practicing using your foot the proper way, so that way, when you’re playing a soccer game when you’re running down the field, someone passes the ball to you, your panicked about, oh, am I going to get the ball?

Am I going to be able to track the ball? Am I going to be able to stop the soccer ball and get it to go where I need it to me know when you have a session with a coach, or you have worked on it, your person on the time on your weakness and turning that weakness Into a strength you’re going to notice it would you say immediately in the next game or how long does it take for players that we trying to see progress if they have a great session they’re making improvements? Do they see your return on that right away, but they do see it and you see improvement improvement immediately. So it is it’s very interesting to see this because you know I know how long it took me to learn certain things and do things and the system that we have devised here to soccer lessons the training that we provide. It speeds up that time and kids see Improvement immediately. They come in, they work hard and they’re touching proves you know we work on shopping with the sole of foot, the outside of foot. We work on everything, so they feel confident in any situation that they can use any part of their foot to stop that ball, and you know it’s. Tulsa Soccer Lessons It’S really lovely to watch a kid play and be able to use proper technique and keep the ball and make great decisions. On top of that, and that’s what we strive to do at Pride, soccer, training or soccer. Lessons are completely designed to improve players, touch their ability to chop the ball and their ability to make decisions after they receive that that bull, I think, what’s great about it too, is that when you can properly trap the soccer ball, then you’re able to think Beyond. You know, can I get this ball and make it do what I needed to do and then you’re thinking about the next move, you’re going to make, am I going to go to goal? Am I going to pass it? Am I going to cross it you’re able to have Vision beyond that? First step of trapping the ball and really that’s the beautiful thing that we see with soccer players that we train is that, after they are able to, you know, proficiently trap a ball. For example, the sky’s, the limit: do you want to go to Gold? You want to have an assist, do you want to dribble and they can assess what would be the best step for the situation that there and so giving them?

You know those tools and the skills, that’s really what makes the difference and we’re almost out of time did you have anything else? You want to say about trapping the ball and what we offer. Learning that that’s a foundational skill and we we strive to teach foundation in a structure, Pride soccer training, so that kids can play any for any team that they want to go and play for not just you being okay with playing on their little rec league team Or whatever it is, they are going to improve, drastically and move forward and when they get to the stronger teams, they’re not going to have a problem, dropping that ball possessing it in playing with their teammates. If your goal is to move up and play at a higher level, whether that’s competitive or you’re, looking to make the middle school or high school team, maybe you want to earn more playing time or your focus now on College and running a scholarship.
