I bet that you do so set it up for us today. What are we talking about in this episode? We’Re talking about the number one thing that has influenced me as a coach and helped to develop my mindset of the coach from the time I was 16, and that is the philosophy. The style called total football, which was developed by Johan Cruyff, Andrea smeagol’s, two of my favorite all-time soccer person, personalities of all time, tables, players or coaches, or are they played the game? And I’m just saying that everybody get ready because this Total Football? You are a fanatic about this topic like as long as I’ve known you, you have preached Total Football. I know Holland is your team and that’s their style of playing and teams played as well. So what do you want to focus on when it cuz? I know. That’S not vast topic right are able to Interchange and play different positions just in the flow of the game, so you might have a center back. That goes up top to play the striker for a moment and outside outside midfielder or Winger comes into the middle and an attacking midfielder goes why these two players at interchange. But the thing that’s most remarkable to me about this concept and the thing that stands out to me, the most when I, when I talk about developing soccer players and and training soccer players to become the best they can be it’s about every player on the field. Having the technical ability and also the the understanding of how to play these positions and having the ability to actually play the ball, the way it needs to be played in each roll, so you know, for instance, the centre-back may need to play ball at 60 yards Long to get all the way to a winner and having the technical ability to strike a ball straight and true all the way to that player. You know each player on the field has to be able to do some of the the same skills and what I love about total football in the Holland of the 70s. Even in the 2080, they played in such a way they’re. All their players were so technically gifted and can interchange and you just play together, and so when we trained at Pride soccer training, we are totally focused on developing the entire player and that’s what I think sets us apart from any other training companies, is that we Are dedicated to train the whole player and teaching them how to play on the field in any position that they might end up playing in so, for instance, if a player is struggling with passing chopping shooting head and we work on those things, and then we also Have them play games to where they learn how to apply those technical abilities knowing when to dribble knowing when to pass knowing when and how to drop the ball if they need to chop it directly, underneath them or chop it into space. So we’re constantly working on those skills and constantly encouraging them and meant and mentoring them and working on their attitude today had a situation where Medicaid, I was kind of having a bad attitude about things. Cuz we’re doing some competition between groups and his partner wasn’t doing the best, and it was very interesting because I saw where he was going to having a bad attitude in his partner was admitting that he wasn’t doing very well and that he needed to because they Weren’T putting their all into it, part of me that was not even having a bad attitude and get your life together partner. Do you know what I mean come on? You know like what time is that going to help not really, but you could also be like hey come on. We could do this stay focused, and so we work through that and I was impressed by both sides because one had the passion naturally to go. Do it the other one had the honesty to say that he needed to improve and do better. Tulsa Soccer Lessons So it was a good combination of things, and so those are the things that we we end up. Working through Pride soccer training in our soccer skills and training. Drills are designed to bring out true passion, true soccer environments.

Things actually happened out there on the field. We are dedicated to creating those environments so that we can work on the entire player and help them to become total footballers. Total soccer players out there on the field. I learned about Total Football from you just to describe it in like a layman’s terms. It’S like, if you think, of the team as a unit, that unit is Contracting and expanding and widening and shifting and moving and people are interchangeable as far as their positions go and everyone is capable of making whatever move they need to make two best. Are the team, but the team move is cohesive unit and it’s really, I don’t know if you have that sack your, but that’s how I always think of it for what you taught me. But what, if like how to make? Why do I need to be able to do that or what, if I’m on a team that doesn’t even play that style of play? Why is that still going to benefit me to be adaptable and be able to play different positions? And you know I ended up to different environments because you know when you go Alyssa you going to play in college and you are a left Winger and all the sudden you to be a left back or need to be a defensive mid. You learn how to adjust and adapt, so you can play any position in any environment and learn how to handle a different style of play. Even so, that’s that’s good. That happened a lot like from Team to team, whether you’re playing competitive, a wreck or college cuz that happen where your family crest into a new position. Oh yes, because coaches have different ideas of what they see players able to do and what they think that can happen while they want their team to play so they can adjust and change those things. So, yes, it’s exactly what you’re going to see when you switch teams when you move to a different environment, that’s what’s going to happen to these skills that we are teaching at pride of Tulsa soccer training when it comes to Total Football and helping soccer players grow And develop holistically those are skills, they’re going to benefit you, regardless of what level you play. So what are you love the most. I know we just have a little bit of time before we wrap up this podcast. But what do you love the most about Total Football? If you have to pick one thing about it, I know you love everything about it, but if you have that you don’t land on what is the number one reason or aspect you love about total? I, like the free-flowing and free-thinking and the ability to change and play new positions in new rules on the Fly, because the game gets boring when you’re doing the same thing. Over and over again, I can and when you be coming more advanced player, you want more advanced things to do and that’s a really complex. Tulsa Soccer Lessons Thank you for listening.
