This is episode 98 and today will be talking about playing time. Just putting time is one of the top questions I get asked as a coach is how do I? How does my kid get more playing time, and so I think about it right away and I’m like well, the best way to get more playing time is to become a better player, and so that price socket wrench. It is well that’s really good because – and I I know you have more – you want to say, but I just think that’s it’s so simple. It’S like profound, because I think, as a parent would be easy to think about everything else about with the coaches doing about what the team is doing about all these other factors, but you’re saying it just really boils down to tell me a better soccer player.

Why should we ask this question if I could cannot strike a bowl of arcade? Can I dribble this question should never be asking why why should they have more playing time? At that point, we should be saying what do I need to do to improve my child skill and that’s the biggest question that we should ask and probably never heard, that before, like I’ve never heard that said so succinctly until right now, and that makes perfect sense To me, I think when you hear the truth that resonates with you but yeah you get your plan cuz. I think you know you’re trying to figure out what is the code you want for me. What what do you know you trying to figure out all these things, but you’re just saying is just as simple as just up your game: sex with a parent one time and they are asking me you know, I see my daughters getting about half a game or So and I’m concerned, why is she not getting more playing time and I said because she needs to have more confidence when she’s out there she’s not playing with confidence, and I don’t know if I can trust that when I start her, she is going to actually Really start strong, I know if I bring her off, the bench should have seen the game. She sees what she’s up against and she’ll come out and play well, so a lot of this stuff that we see what coaches and playing time it’s based on, what the kids shows the coach a lot of it’s based on our they have confidence. Tulsa Soccer Lessons Are they showing that they have skill? Are they showing it? Maybe they can be trusted out there when the game gets really tough, to hold true to the the core values of the team? In the concept and at Pride, soccer training are soccer. Lessons are designed in such a way that your kid is going to develop and become so strong that there’s no question as to where they should be out there. In the field there going to be out there they’re going to be out there play the entire time, and you know that’s the thing that we focus on is making sure. There’S no question as to whether your kid is out there or they should be playing there. Going to be playing because they are good because they’re strong, because they’re skillful they know when to pass when the Trap. When the shoot went to dribble, they know how to do it in several different ways. Do they use the InStep? Do they use the inside of foot? Are they chipping the ball? Are they curling about? What are they needing to do in that situation and they’re going to have all these these different ways of doing things at their disposal?

It’S important that you know we’re not speaking for every coach, because every coach you know does not have the same philosophy, and so you pointed out how like, if a parent talks to you about something, you’re really good about getting them. The inside and the feedback that they’re asking for that they need only recognize. Not all coaches may do that. There may be some coaches, you don’t talk as much or don’t provide the feedback that you’re looking for, and so that’s why we are offering soccer training lesson and we are you doing this podcast, because we are trying to say hey if your goal is to get More playing time, we can help you with that. You know what I mean and we know the path to success when it comes to the game of soccer and Tulsa soccer lessons. Another part of this playing time thing as being adaptive like being able to play a different position, not just one position, because that gives you more chances to be out there on the field. I want my child to play this one position. You know and be really be the best at that one, you know, Tulsa Soccer Lessons Focus your energy. You know. Why are you saying that that doesn’t make sense? Because it seems like you, don’t focus on everything you want to get one position: 1 skill in like really get good at that right. But there’s also a point where you know you going. You go to college and you see your left Winger and there’s three other left-wingers out there and they’re all good and the coach has to make a decision as to which one is going to play in may or may not be you and you could have every Right to play that position, but if your adaptive, if you can play left-back or play defensive mid, you have another chance at another position and still sometimes it’s going to take you being adapted to be able to play different roles. So being adaptable, like is this something that cuz you’re saying in college, I mean that’s a long time if I’m in you know, but it also how to make it happen before that so hot. Why is that important?

It’S important because it gives you more chances to play on the field more opportunities to be on the field. The biggest thing is being on the field. That’S how you going to improve in playing apart from training and soccer lessons when you’re out there in the field testing your mettle as well. As I hear British people say, but you’re out there you’re trying out your skills that you’ve been working on in training and you know I’m soccer lessons. We we train and we work on these skills, but you need game time to actually use those skills and if your adopted play more than one position, you are able to get more chances at using your skills and improving as a player and then maybe later on. You use you make that step to worry. Now you are the center made. You are the striker, you are the left-wing and that’s all people going to play you cuz. I know you are that person and then they never take you out because you’re so effective. So you know sometimes you have to be adapted if you are not quite at the level that you need to be to have dominance in that position. So, that’s that’s what I see and it helps sometimes you have a quality that other players don’t have and they need you to fill a role. I’Ve had that situation happen as well. We’Re hey, I am probably a really good player at you, know playing, but they needed a defensive midfielder who could track balls down? You had to rain to the play. Who can start the attack? You know from the defensive side of the game and they don’t have other players that can do, but you fit that role. So you have to embrace that and have to be adaptive. You have to be willing to change a little bit so that you get more playing time of the story is: if you want more playing time, Tulsa Soccer Lessons you need to become a better soccer player correct and we can help you do just that at pride of Tulsa soccer Training we offer the best when it comes to soccer player, development and Tulsa soccer less.
