Pride this is episode. 93. We’Re still talking about the success pyramid that was created by did, I say 93. This is actually episode. 95 got screwed up, but we’re still talking about the success pyramid that was created by coach John Wooden is actually part 3 of that installment Antonio. What are you have that you want to focus on in our time here today of the pyramid is about self-control, alertness initiative and intentness, and so John Wooden lathe, exactly you know how we should go about. You know thinking about these things like stuff control, is practice self-discipline and keep emotions under control. Good judgment in common sense are essential, so you know, for instance, that I know our son Jackson he’s very passionate. He is always eager to go into tackles and and to win balls and Sons you can be a little bit too eager and and go in to strong heal. His passion sometimes will get the best of him so he’s working on that he’s working to get those controls that are those emotions under control and to go out there and play his game, and in this last weekend you know he had a wonderful game where he Had his emotions under control, he was making good tackles.

Yes, can you play the whole game without making any fouls and got an assist, and you know that to me it was a great soccer game that was really really well done and he has been female performing. You know the same way during the Arsenal soccer training in the soccer. Lessons that he has been doing he’s been working hard at his self control, has been working hard hard at controlling his body and using the skill in in working on this technique and it’s showing really focus on developing character and soccer skill. And I guess look at someone like coach, John Wooden, like his career, and this you know Pyramid of Success that he’s created it. Everything that he’s talking about ties back into character and it can go back to your soccer skill and that’s what’s really need to me. Is that it’s someone who’s had such an expensive career and they found of Nina, summed it all up to these things, but every one of those fits Under the Umbrella of character or your scale, which is what we focus on at pride of Tulsa. That’S what I like about it, so he has written on the side of a pyramid, is be more concerned with your character than reputation and that to me to speak volumes, I give your concern about your character than your reputation will follow. You know, and I think you know that’s what he’s saying are you are using self control, you know, are you alert? Are you and you know using initiative, and – and so I think he he really has focused – he has a focused concept that if you use you will become successful and we we also use these Concepts here at Pride soccer training, where we incorporate these things into our lessons. One of the examples of this is alertness and he talks about be observing, constantly stay, open-minded, be eager to learn and improve, and you know when you’re doing soccer lessons and your training. You not only have to listen to the instructions of the trainers giving you but you you know you can look around and see. Who is doing this drill the best around me. Who can I kind of mimic and see how they’re doing it and copy those traits and then bring it into my own? So when you know I was growing up and I was I was practicing soccer.

I would look at the Players around me as well and just see what I can copy from them and absorb and use that to make me better, and you know, observing the situations around you always looking to improve and become better you are playing your soccer game or When you are on the field being able to be aware and focused and know, what’s going on around you, so that you can play your position the best because you know for Me, Maybe I was just more focused on being my best. I think you can definitely learned from other people absolutely when you’re on that soccer field. You need to be aware of, what’s going on around you and having a knowledge of where to be in relation to the soccer ball or what to do with the soccer ball. At a particular time in the game, so it’s really important that your alertness, you know, is on point and I found you can only be alert and something when you put the work in and you have the talent in the skill that allows you now not to Have to be so Focus down on the ball and looking down that you can actually dribble now with your head up and looking around, and so you are able to be more aware so they’re just layers to think she’s, like this Pyramid of Success. There’S layers to your growth and development in the game of soccer and it first maybe you’re just trying to dribble and keep possession of the ball and that’s all can focus on, but your head is down. You know when you look at someone who’s, a great soccer player, Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo, anyone past or present, whose really recognize as being a player that bald their movement. Their handling of the soccer ball is intuitive. Tulsa Soccer Lessons They can look around that feels and that ball stays right at their feet because they worked in developed their skill set, but that’s really what all these things tied back to that were discussing the day the Pyramid of Success. It really applies to your work ethic, your goals and that alertness is going to come. You know when you can pay attention to what’s going on around you and really act in the most effective way. So true, very true what you’re saying your head on a swivel as you are moving that ball you’re looking around see, what’s going on around you and that’s being alert, and it does take technical skill to be able to do that in at Pride soccer training. That’S what we do we do.

We develop your technical skill you’re in, and you know the only thing that we have here in the in the pieras well as initiative, and this one is also interesting to me because it says, cultivate the ability to make decisions and think alone do not be afraid Of failure but learn from it and that’s something I have to convince senior players of a lot of times, it’s okay, to fail. It’S okay, you’re here for training, you’re, not going to get it right. The first time. That’S. Why is that? We are working on their character and their skill, their confidence, their self-esteem. You do have these conversations with our soccer players that we try and all the time we’re going to work this until we actually Master it. It’S about grit and it’s about staying, focused and and having the initiative to see all the way through to the end and other one isn’t tetanus. He says, set a realistic goal, concentrate on its achievement by resist. I’M sorry, I can barely see it by resisting all Temptations and being determined and persistent and. So that’s something I saw our son with this last weekend. We set goals and he had accomplished all but one of them – and I was really pleased with him cuz. He was focused on on, you know, actually trying to score a goal. He didn’t get that one, but he got an assist and he did not found any used to skill and his technique to both defend and attack, and those are things that we work on. It pride soccer training, are soccer, lessons are designed to work on kids, technical ability, Tulsa Soccer Lessons ability to dribble past trap, shoot and hit the ball and also make decisions only want to.
