And what are you want to talk about today? Officially called the Netherlands, but those who love them will call them Hall in the sometime, so typically seen them. In orange white orange orange black orange or a straight strip of orange, the orange shirt orange shorts orange socks, like you see those colors they pop. They stand out it’s beautiful to behold in that blue and that the nice combination colors, you might see them a white, orange white, white, blue white or all blue strip right now, they’re wearing like a a blue short blue socks and a light blue socks is what they Are wearing at the moment, and you might see them in an alternate color, which would be black black black with orange trim for looks beautiful, really. Have you seen them in there only a few times around about them? They became a national team in 1905 and the first game of the against Belgium and they end up winning in overtime 421. It was tied 1-1 and they 141 in Antwerp, Belgium. So they went away from home and eating a huge way. So that’s that was really awesome for them and in the World Cup they made it to the first two World Cups in 1934 and 1935but. After that, they were unsuccessful, qualifying for the World Cup until 1974, really small and so for them to qualify world for World Cup is a big deal, and so the 1974 that’s when they had a team with Johan Cruyff on it that guy who passed away last Year but he revolutionize the game him and his teammates and also their coach, rinus Michels and they have appeared in 10 World Cup so far so 1934, 38, 1974-78, 1990-1994, 98 and 2006in 2006 you’ll.

Episode 60 and it’s part, 4 of our installment, Clockwork, Orange and so O’Neal. The floor is all yours of Holland and in 1974, that is probably the best team they’ve ever had in the history of of their country, and that was led by Johan Cruyffand. That’S when Total Football first came into existence and they they revolutionize the game by playing people in different positions, all throughout the game, and so Johan Cruyff, who was usually on the waiting room front somewhere, would drop back into defense. Sometimes it defend, it would push forward. A midfielder might go to the fence and I defended might go up top and play for a little bit, so the players were switching and the way they were able to it to do. That naturally was just by filling in gaps. So the play went for someone to come over and cover for them. People understand like the way we will play the game of soccer. If it looks pretty similar, you know everybody was doing pretty similar things. I mean you have like different tricks and move, but everyone play the game in the same kind of roadway and just do the big deal they introduce the whole different concepts are different like mode of playing, and it’s not like people, don’t know what to do with It rightyou surprised if you study how far back tech tactical structure came into the game. It was from there from the very beginning, all the way through so the even in the in the thirties. In the forties 60s 50s. They had all these tactics, tactics that they used in structure information that they stayed with. Will this just blew it all the way it even their goalkeeper playing with their feet? They actually took Youngblood, which was there a goalkeeper that time and we just make those wanted to go keep. It was really good with his feet, and so he wasn’t actually a goalkeeper.

He was a field player. I took a play in goal, so they can play with his feet out of the back and the way they in which they did. They did things, they just had players moving together and they would hide, pressed other team called them to give the ball up in the opposition’s half, so they can attack their goal right away and score. So, Netherlands always played high pressure and they would move the ball very quicklyand. You know something else that was very impressive to me about. It was something that Carlos Roberto, the captain of the 1970 Brazilian team, who won the World Cup. He said that they were the only team in the 1970 World for World Cup to come with something new and different, so that’s a huge statement and and 1974 World Cup that is the best team to never have won the World Cup wow. That’S interesting. The great thing about their strengths and really revolutionize the game of soccer, and maybe you are a soccer player and you are needing to take your game to the next level and revolutionize your level of play well at pride of Tulsa soccer training.
