Hello Neal how are you doing.

Doing fantastically well thank you. Glad to be here.

Great. So I know today we’re talking about success.

But first I want to have you tell us just a little bit about your organization pride soccer training our organization pride of Tulsa soccer training is Tulsa’s number one choice when it comes to one on one coaching and personal soccer training. Our focus is on developing players skills and character by using proven methods that steadily improve their technique versatility and vision Prod. soccer training. We have found that once a player is proficient with the ball that means dribbling passing trapping shooting and heading it gives him or her the ability to fully concentrate on how when and what they should do with the ball at any given moment in the game.

OK you said Once a player is proficient with the ball they can fully concentrate on how when and what they should do with the ball at any given moment in the game. I’m going to ask you though to break that down for us. You know explain what you mean when you are saying you know how to use the ball when to use it. What they should do with it. Break that down and help us know exactly what it means and why it’s such an important skill set.

Tulsa Soccer Training Well the How has to do with the way a player strikes a ball whether it is with the shoe laces inside or outside of the foot. How much power or finesse to use the situation also determines how does the ball need to be chipped over a player or passed around one when is the timing of the pass or shot. Does a player need to wait until the team gets into position or does the ball need to be played early. Does he need to wait until the position opposition gets close to him before passing the ball or does she need to shoot the ball early before pressure arrives. Timing is very important.

I mean you’re talking about what that’s the last component. You know what to do with the ball.

Yes. The what determines whether the ball needs to be passed shot or dribbled. It’s probably the simplest decision out of all three this level of proficiency is important because it determines how well a player reads the game and whether or not they have the technical ability to fulfill the task at hand.

I see. So when you’re talking about the name of the organization pride. Tell me about that. How did you choose that name. Why did you choose the name. Where did Pride come from.

Well I’ve always loved lions. They are a symbol of strength determination teamwork and honor. Pride is also an acronym for perseverance respect integrity drive and excellence. These virtues are important because they keep players focused and humble nice.

So the name pride of Tulsa soccer training has multiple layers and meaning. I love that you’ve woven in the purpose and significant you know with that. I really like how you’ve brought some intention and attention to detail. You know when you’re just naming the organization I like that. So next up we’ve got to talk about the goat quote and when we say goat we are not talking about the animal. Goat is actually an acronym and it stands for the greatest of all time. And our son Jackson. My name is cerita and I’m actually married to O’Neill and our son Jackson is in the studio with us today and he’s not miked up but he’s over there listening he’s got his headphones on. And when we were talking about the quote he was mouthing the words with the greatest of all time so he knows all about the goat quote and he gets it. But today’s quote is brought to you by none other than Pele. He’s the Brazilian superstar who is the only soccer player who has won three World Cups.

And I asked you about this earlier when we were prepping I was like no one else has won three World Cups.

That’s true. That’s why he’s the greatest of all time.

Yeah. I was just shocked by that I thought to someone else when that many so really cool fact we were just going over that earlier when we were prepping for the show. But Pele is the king of soccer. And he is considered to be the best player of all time. So here is our quote Pele says this.

He says success is no accident. It is hard work perseverance learning steadying sacrifice and most of all love of what you are doing or learning to do that. That quote is so good isn’t it. It is. Oh I love it. I feel like any to say it again. Pele says this success is no accident. It is. Success is hard work perseverance learning studying sacrifice and most of all love of what you are doing or what you’re learning to do Tulsa Soccer Training.

So that’s our go quote for today O’Niel go ahead and break it down for us please.

All right. I first must have to say I love Pele. It was the first player I really loved and admired so I just you know big ups to Pele. But I found that people who lovingly work hard at their craft tend to become experts in their profession. I remember I remember several years ago I met a father and his 9 year old daughter who were determined to find a trainer to improve their skills her skills. I worked with her for four years and her ability to dribble pass trap shoot head and to understand how much power or finesse to apply to the ball well after those four years of training with me. She was recruited by a division one school in Florida where she was a starter on the women’s soccer team during her college career. She was captain of her team and three time All-American. She is still in school right now and is already a candidate for being drafted into the National Women’s Soccer League.

I was going to say something about that. She did so much in her career right because she just was was drafted there and came right on you know and she was a force.

Yes. Yes she has always been a force. I mean since she was little she was like that.

And so working with you like kind of helped you know harness that energy and kind of directed and focus it and she’s done so well in her career. Yes. Yes.

Tulsa Soccer Training I’m so proud and very proud proud of her. Yes. I recently spoke with her father and he said that the mentorship and training that I gave her during those years had the greatest impact on her soccer career. So this is just one example of how hard work perseverance sacrifice and love of what you’re learning and doing. Always pay off pride of Tulsa’s soccer training we nurture teach and develop players so they can achieve their goals.

Now the thing that I love about this story and you know just to you know respect her you know privacy we’re not saying this person’s name but you know during the time that you were working with with this individual with her there were hard times that she went through that her family went through. She put in a ton of hard work she had a parser beer through challenges you know personal things school issues with friends familial things going on. So we kind of got to witness you know you firsthand you know because you knew her and her father really well. And then kind of secondary that hard work is sometimes you know you’re training and you’re working but it’s also what you’re overcoming maybe that you’re facing in your life.

That’s so true. Yeah. So true. I think every athlete has something that they have to overcome. Tulsa Soccer Training Every person in life has things that they have to overcome.

Very good. I love it. Well earlier we mentioned our son Jackson in the podcast and he was telling me that he wanted to share some of his experience. So we’re going to have him hop over here on Daddy’s Mike so he can kind of share. He wanted to be able to give some information give some information and insight. Hey Jack how are you doing. Good. How are you. I’m doing great. We’ve loved having you in here with us today have you enjoyed it. Yes. Good. So you said you wanted to share your experience. Right. So I was going to ask you a couple of questions. How long has that been working with you on soccer. About five years. Yeah about five years and you guys have played in the backyard at soccer fields parks anywhere everywhere. OK. So if you had to give kind of like a testimonial or share from your experience about Daddy’s coaching ability and the services that he provides what would you have to say and this is this is from your heart we haven’t planned this or you know Jack just wanted to share.

So what would you have to say but I would definitely recommend him because he can teach you tricks how to shoot and how to juggle. Like he was like the Dubreuil helicopter you can do very well and he can also tell you to do things. And if you listen to them you could turn out to be a very good soccer player. So that’s why I would recommend pride of Tulsa training.

That’s awesome but thank you. First team experience. They are. Thank you Jack. Thank you very nice. Now you go oh you’re so sweet. You said Now if you listen to him you know you’ll develop into that player. So now I have another question Do you always listen to what he tells you.

No. Not at first sometimes. But then what if it’s not the first time but then what happens what. How does that work out. I do it and it’s so good. So sometimes you might not want to listen at first but then you realize that he’s right that is right Tulsa Soccer Training.

OK. Thank you Jack for your testimonial and your endorsement. You’re welcome. We really appreciate it. That is our time for this podcast. O’Neill thank you for sharing so much wisdom and insight with us today Tulsa Soccer Training.

Well thank you for having me.
